AW1996 Dirk Bikkembergs Knee High Bungee Cord Boots FRIENDS AND FAMILY EXCLUSIVE
Dirk Bikkembergs was a member of the famous Antwerp Six , a group of graduates from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1981. Bikkembergs entered the avant garde scene by creating innovating collections “devoted to his aesthetic of the modern man: strong, healthy, and virile”. In 1985, Bikkembergs wins the Canette d’Or (Golden Spindle Award), with his daring workman’s shoe. It wasn’t until the mid 1990's when he started really gaining traction for his unique utilitarian and military designs.
This particular pair of Bungee Cord boots are extremely rare. It was only available via custom order for friends and family back in 1996. Have only ever seen 3 pairs on the internet.
